Let’s start at the beginning; if you’re building websites, you’re going to need a platform to do it on. If you’re not a coder and HTML looks like a load of gibberish to you, then you’re going to need some form of 'What You See Is What You Get' (WYSIWYG) software. Here at IMF, we highly recommend Dreamweaver for its all round usability, but if you can't afford the £229.95 ($376) price tag which is understandable, especially if your just starting out, then check out the range of free software available below.

Dreamweaver really is the front runner when it comes to WYSIWYG software. Although not free, it is possible to get a free 30 day trial if none of the above software works out for you.
